Abstract:With the rapid development of global industrialization, CO2 emissions are rising year by year, bringing about serious ecological problems. Exploring and realizing the high-value utilization of CO2 from waste is of great significance in promoting circular economy and sustainable development. From the viewpoint of sustainable development, as an important C1 resource, CO2 has attracted extensive global attention due to its remarkable features such as abundance, cheapness, easy availability and renewability. Driven by the dual-carbon target, the development of new technologies and processes for converting CO2 into chemicals with high added value is an effective way to realize the resourceful use of CO2. The conversion of CO2 into high value-added products through advanced catalytic technology can not only optimize the energy structure, but also realize the efficient use of carbon resources. In this paper, the recent progress in the efficient conversion of CO2 into C1 chemicals, C2 chemicals, multi-carbon chemicals, energy-rich carbon-based long chain molecules and cyclic carbonates using thermal catalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis and bio-coupling techniques are systematically reviewed. The design idea and performance control method of catalyst are introduced in detail. The design and optimization strategy of CO2 conversion reactor are summarized. Finally, the development trend and possible challenges of CO2 conversion technology are prospected.
