Abstract:In order to achieve green and efficient production of p-chlorobenzaldehyde (PCAD), PCAD was selectively prepared by oxidation of p-chlorotoluene (PCT) with O2. MC(Mid-century) catalyst was used as the base catalyst and acetic acid was selected as the solvent. The effects of co-catalyst and other factors on PCT conversion and PCAD selectivity were investigated. Then orthogonal experiments were designed to obtain optimized reaction conditions. The results showed that when the reaction temperature was 80 ℃, the amount of catalyst used was 4% by mass of PCT, the mass ratio of cobalt salt and manganese salt was 3:1, the volume ratio of PCT and acetic acid was 1:2, and the amount of co-catalyst was 0.625% by mass of PCT, the conversion of PCT could reach 31.42%, and the selectivity of PCAD can reach 81.14%. On this basis, the reaction kinetics was studied, the reaction rate constant and reaction activation energy were obtained.
