Preparation of Bio-oil by High Pressure Liquefaction of Organic Sludge and Analysis of Oil Properties

Abstract:In order to make use of biochemical sludge, the bio-oil was prepared from the dry sludge by hydrothermal reaction in a reactor with high pressure. The gelatinization temperature was 200 ℃ and the residence time was 10 min. The Oiling temperature was 300 ℃ and the residence time was 20 min; the stirring speed in the reactor was 500 r/min. The water-soluble oil, light oil, heavy oil and semi-coke were finally obtained by extracting the reaction products with ethyl acetate and chloroform. Measurement and analysis of samples showed that the high heating value of available light oil and heavy oil were 26.50 MJ/kg and 17.24 MJ/kg respectively, the low heating value were 24.78 MJ/kg and 15.74 MJ/kg. The calorific value of semi coke was higher than 6.00 MJ/kg, they all can be recycled. The experiment results provide a direction for the utilization of high-pressure liquefaction products in organic sludge.
