Modeling and Simulation of Reaction-Separation System in Diesel Hydrofining Process

Abstract:With the general trend of digital transformation and improvement of quality, efficiency and emission reduction of refining and chemical enterprises, the process simulation technology of refining and chemical units can provide basic model and data, which is widely applied. In this work, Symmetry software was used to simulate the whole process of reaction-separation system in diesel hydrofining process, and the hydrogenation reaction mechanism simulation calculation module was used to strictly model the mechanism of diesel hydrofining reactor. The relative errors between the operating parameters and product quality of the hydrofining reactor calculated by the model and the actual production data of the unit were within -5%-5%, which showed that Symmetry software could accurately simulate the diesel hydrofining process and provide a basic model for the operation optimization of subsequent units.
