Abstract:The catalytic aromatics transalkylation performance was carried out over the ZSM-5 and the 12 member ring pore structure zeolites containing mordenite or MAPO-36, using the mixture of toluene and trimethylbenzene as model raw material. Then, the comparison of the composite catalysts combining ZSM-5 with the 12 member ring pore structure molecular sieves was also made by this aromatics transformation reaction, of which particularly, the catalytic performance was modulated after ZSM-5 mixing with MAPO-36. By comprehensively comparative analysis, the characterization results showed good correlation with the catalytic aromatics performance, which indicated that the mechanical composites (catalyst of ZSM-5 with MAPO-36) possed special pore properties and acid distribution. This special composites catalyst was well adapted and favored for aromatics transalkylation reaction, for its enhanced performance leading to maximum activities. The reaction temperature could be reduced by 20 ℃. In addition, the hydrogen consumption and the total off-gas significantly reduced.
