Abstract：Blocking or grafting of polyolefin with polar polymer can be used to functionalize the polyolefin. In this review, the methods for preparation of the block copolymers such as living coordination polymerization, traversing polymerizations from coordination polymerization and coupling of macromolecules with reactive terminal group, and the methods for preparation of the graft copolymers such as grafting onto, grafting from and grafting through were introduced. Their research progress and application prospect in industry were presented.
