Abstract:In this work, effects of the chemical factors(solvents, impurities, and additives) and engineering factors(supersaturation, crystal seeds and agitation) on crystal morphology and structure were discussed, respectively. The two factors could affect the aggregation state of solute molecules in solution and its diffusion/adsorption processes on crystal interface, which further resulted in effects on nucleation and crystal growth mechanisms and kinetics. Eventually, the crystal morphology and structure of final crystals were changed. The crystals with desired morphology and structure could be obtained by optimizing the operation conditions.
