Abstract:The isomerization of thujopsene to olefin B using cedrene as raw material was carried out over the macroporous strong acidic cation exchange resin catalyst.The effects of reaction conditions such as temperature, reaction time, catalyst dosage, mass ratio of cedrene to acetic acid on the isomerization reaction were studied. The appropriate reaction conditions were determined as mass percentage of catalyst to cedrene of 20%, mass ratio of cedrene to acetic acid of 1:2, reaction temperature of 40 ℃, reaction time of 3 h. Under the conditions, the conversion of thujopsene reached 99.85%, and the mass fraction and total yield of olefin B were 17.63% and 49.55%, respectively. Reuse study of the catalyst showed that the resin catalyst could keep high activity after having been reused 6 times.
