Abstract：In this review, modeling of olefin polymerization process based on polymerization mechanism for the polymer chain structure was surveyed. Developments and applications of the models for molecular weight and its distribution, copolymer composition as well as sequence distribution in polymerization process were reviewed. The importance of chain-structure modeling was emphasized and the modeling of the sequence structure distribution of copolymers was suggested as a future direction of research in olefin polymerization.
