Research Progress on the Synthesis and Characterization of Sn-β Zeolites

Abstract:Sn-β zeolites have excellent activity and selectivity in catalytic reactions due to their open pore structure and unique Lewis acidity. Sn-β zeolites prepared by different synthesis methods have significant differences in active sites, which affect their catalytic performance. In this paper, the research progress of synthesis and characterization of Sn-β zeolites were reviewed. The synthesis methods of Sn-β zeolites were classified, the effects of different synthesis methods on Sn active sites were analyzed, and the characteristics of different active sites such as out of framework and in framework, open site and closed site were discussed. The progress of characterization technology for quantitative analysis of active sites of Sn-β zeolites was summarized. The development direction of the synthesis and characterization technology of Sn-β zeolites was proposed in order to improve its catalytic performance.
