Abstract:Multiphase flow in reactor involves complex flow, mixing and mass transfer processes, and it is an important research object in chemical engineering. Particle image velocimetry (PIV) is a new experimental technique for multiphase flow field measurement and visualization in recent years. It has been widely used in multiphase flow field detection because of its significant advantages such as transient, multi-point and non-invasive measurement. This paper summarizes the latest progress in the application of PIV technology from the perspective of multi-phase and multi-scale, and extracts the technical problems and corresponding solutions in liquid-liquid mixing, solid-liquid mixing, gas-solid flow and gas-liquid flow, which is expected to provide reference for the potential application of PIV technology in multi-phase systems.
