Abstract:Based on the thermogravimetric test at different heating rates, the pyrolysis kinetic parameters of expanded polystyrene particles were calculated, and the fluidized bed pyrolysis process was studied in a self-built visual fluidized pyrolysis furnace, and the products were analyzed. According to the experimental data of thermogravimetry, the kinetic parameters of pyrolysis such as activation energy and pre-index factor were calculated by using the methods of Kissinger Akahira Sunos (KAS), Ozawa Flynn Wall (OFW) and Coats Redfern (CR) according to the Arrhenius equation. The morphological changes of the pyrolysis process of expanded polystyrene particles at different temperatures were observed and analyzed through visualization experiments, and the main components of solid, liquid and gas three-phase products were analyzed. The activation energies calculated by the KAS and OFW methods were 143.55 kJ/mol and 147.21 kJ/mol, respectively. The pre-index factor calculated by CR method was 6.79×105-4.4×108 min-1. During the pyrolysis process of expanded polystyrene, the free energy was 219.30 kJ/mol, the enthalpy of the reaction was 137.94 kJ/mol, and the entropy was -0.12 kJ/K. The fluidized pyrolysis products are mainly styrene, 1,3,5-triphenylcyclohexane, 9,9-dimethylnaphthalene-based pyrolysis oil, carbon black, toluene and styrene-based pyrolysis gas.
