Abstract:The development and significance of the shape-controlled metal oxides nanocrystals were reviewed, and the principle and methods of controlling the metal oxides nanocrystals were introduced, then the recent work on the morphology impact of CeO2, TiO2, CuxO, Co3O4, MgO and γ-Al2O3 nanocrystals was described in details, and the importance of tuning the shape of oxide-nanocatalysts for prompting their activity, selectivity and stability was demonstrated. Finally, the problems in the morphology control of metal oxide nanocrystals were summarized and the catalytic application of the shape-controlled metal oxide nanocrystals were prospected.
