Abstract:The adsorption of n-heptane steam on a variety of adsorbents was investigated in this paper. The results showed that the specific surface area and pore structure of the adsorbent played a key role in the adsorption of n-heptane, and a larger specific surface area and pore volume as well as a smaller pore size facilitated the adsorption of n-heptane on the adsorbents. The self-made polystyrene modified resin showed the best adsorption effect for n-heptane, and the saturation adsorption capacity was 0.32 g/g under the conditions of the weight hourly space velocity of 1 000 h?1, the temperature of 30 ℃ and n-heptane concentration of 9 000 mg/kg. Regeneration of the polymer resin activity could be achieved by using hot nitrogen or water steam purging. After 20 reuses, the saturation adsorption capacity of the adsorbent decreased by less than 5% compared to the first adsorption, indicating good regeneration performance.
