Abstract:The spent Co-Mo hydrogenation catalyst was hydrothermally treated by a weak alkaline leaching agent, a mixture of ammonium hydroxide and ammonium carbonate solution, and factors affecting the leaching of metal elements Mo and Co were investigated. The results showed that with the mixture of ammonium hydroxide and ammonium carbonate solution as leaching agent could inhibit Al leaching, on the other hand, it could obtain high extraction of Mo and Co. Under the conditions of concentration of ammonium hydroxide was 10 mol/L, the concentration of ammonium carbonate was 2 mol/L, the ratio of solid to liquid was 1:18 g/mL and reaction temperature was 90 ℃, the extraction of Mo reached 81.7%, and the extraction of Co reached 52.6%. (NH4)3PO4(MoO3)12·4H2O with petal-like morphology was produced from leaching solution by precipitation. In selective hydrogenation of naphthalene, catalyst prepared by calcined leaching residue with Cu and Ni impregnation had the same catalytic effect as that prepared by commercial alumina.
