Advances in Hierarchical Titanosilicate-1 Zeolites and Their Application in Catalytic Oxidation

Abstract:Hierarchical titanosilicate-1 (TS-1) zeolites have received increasing attention owing to their abundant micro/meso/macro-porous structures and superior catalytic properties. In this paper, recent advances on synthesis, characterization and catalytic performance of hierarchical TS-1 zeolites was reviewed. Firstly, various synthesis protocols were introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of each of them were compared. Secondly, advanced characterization techniques, especially electron tomography (ET) and solid 17O NMR, were present. Thirdly, the catalytic properties of resultant materials on olefins epoxidation and oxidation desulfurization of fuels were discussed. Finally, the challenges and future development of hierarchical TS-1 zeolites were proposed.
