Abstract:A series of CuO-Cr2O3 composite oxide catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation method and hydrolysis gel evaporation method. The textual properties of the catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption and temperature-programmed reduction by H2 (H2-TPR). The characterization results showed that the CuO-Cr2O3 catalyst prepared by hydrolysis gel evaporation method possessed larger specific surface area and uniform CuO particle dispersion than that prepared by co-preparation method. And the formation of CuCrO4 and other species were hindered by the addition of oxalic acid during the synthesis process. As a result, the CuO-Cr2O3 catalyst prepared by the hydrolysis gel evaporation method exhibited better. The conversion of 2-propyl-2-heptenal was above 99.99% and selectivity of 2-propyl-1-heptanol was 98.9%.
