Abstract:The process of treating citric acid wastewater from mixed bacteria fermentation by electric Fenton method was optimized through the single factor test and response surface test on the effects of initial pH value, Fe2+ content, H2O2 (mass fraction 30%) content and reaction time. The optimal process was as follows: initial pH as 3.6, Fe2+ content as 245 mg/mL, H2O2 content as 1.1 mg/mL, reaction time as 145 min. Under the optimum conditions, the removal ratio of chemical oxygen demand (COD) was 96.67%. The method established in this study can reflect the influence of various factors on COD removal ratio of citric acid wastewater from mixed bacteria fermentation.
