Abstract:In order to prepare stable high activity catalyst of α-methylnaphthalene isomerization, the synthesized SO42-/ZrO2 solid superacid catalyst was modified by metal ion doping. The effects of catalyst modification method, reaction temperature, reaction pressure and weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) on the isomerization of α-methylnaphthalene were investigated in a fixed bed reactor. The results showed that the performance of SO42-/ZrO2 solid superacid catalyst prepared by reverse dropping method and doped with 2% Al was the best. Under the optimal operating conditions of temperature 230 ℃, pressure 1.0 MPa and the WHSV of α-methylnaphthalene 1.0 h-1, the conversion of α-methylnaphthalene was more than 70%, the selectivity of β-methylnaphthalene was more than 95% and the selectivity of recombinants was less than 0.2%. The experimental results of catalyst stability and regeneration showed that the catalyst regeneration performance was excellent, which has a good prospect of industrial application.
