Abstract:Active carbon (AC) supported catalysts (MoO3/AC, P-MoO3/AC and MoP/AC) were prepared via incipient-wetness impregnation method and temperature-programmed reduction method. The prepared catalysts were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), NH3-temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD) and N2-physical adsorption characterization. And the catalytic performance of three prepared catalysts were tested in propane dehydrogenation. It is found that MoP/AC exhibited better catalytic performance probably due to the less acid sites of the middle and strong acids. The preparation and reaction conditions of MoP/ AC catalyst were optimized. The catalyst with 18% (mass fraction) MoP loading reduced at 650 ℃ showed the best dehydrogenation activity and selectivity. When the reaction temperature was 600 ℃ and the molar ratio of N2 to C3H8 in feed was 6, the conversion of propane was 18.3% and the selectivity of propylene was 84.0%.
