Abstract:In order to study the stirring effect of the dry-fermentation stirrer, the mixing process in the stirrer was numerically simulated by fluid dynamic software Fluent using dynamic mesh model and multiphase flow model. The effects of the stirring speed, the length of the stirring blade and the number of layers of the stirring paddles on the stirring power, mixing time and mixing energy and diffusion flow field were investigated. The results showed that reducing the stirring speed was beneficial to reduce the energy consumption of mixing and improved the mixing efficiency. However, from the perspective of engineering efficiency, the stirring speed should not be less than 3 r/min. When the stirring paddle length was 1 200 mm, the mixing efficiency was the highest. When the stirring speed was greater than 6 r/min, the mixing efficiency of the three-blade stirrer was higher than that of the four-blade stirrer.
