Reaction Process Intensification: Applications of Acidic Tail-Gas Treatment by High Gravity Technology

Abstract：As a typical process intensification technology, high gravity technology (Higee) plays an important role in the chemical industry. In this paper, the principle and development of Higee are introduced. Reaction process intensification by Higee has been applied commercially to the treatment of acidic tail-gas, such as CO2 capture and utilization for enhanced oil recovery, desulphurization in sulfuric acid plants, and selective absorption of H2S in refinery plants. It has been proved that Higee is a very promising reaction process intensification technology.
