Abstract:The isobornyl methacrylate (IBOA) was synthesized using camphene and acrylic acid as raw materials catalyzed by homemade solid super acid SO42-/TiO2-SnO2. The effects of catalyst dosage on the yield of IBOA were investigated, and the intrinsic kinetic equation of the reaction was studied. The results showed that the diffusion rate could be eliminated when the stirring rate was more than 400 r/min and the particle size was less than 83 μm. The reaction kinetics model of synthesis of IBOA with acrylic acid and camphene was established by the mechanism kinetic. The results showed that the positive reaction of the synthesis reaction was second-order reaction, the reverse reaction was first-order reaction, the activation energy was 60.089 kJ/mol, and the pre-exponential factor was 4.068×105 L/(mol·g·min). The predicted results were in good agreement with the experimental results.
