Abstract:In order to improve the hydrogenation activity of the nickel-based Ni/Al2O3 catalysts for naphthalene and the yield of monocylic aromatic, a series of Ni-M/Al2O3 catalysts with different metal additives were prepared by the impregnated method. The physical properties of these catalysts were characterized and their selective hydrogenation performance of heavy reforming aromatics was also investigated. The results showed that the catalyst contained Cu had the best texture structure with excellent metal dispersion. The catalyst had better naphthalene conversion and tetralin selectivity in the hydrogenation of heavy reforming aromatics. The conversion of naphthalene and the selectivity of tetralin reached up to 98% and 99%,respectively under the reaction conditions at the temperature of 140 ℃, reaction pressure of 1.5MPa, H2/oil volume ratio of 300 and liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV) of 1.0 h-1. The catalyst remained stable for 1 000 hours at this optimum reaction conditions.
