Abstract:The synthesis of methyl nitrite (MN) from nitric oxide, nitric acid and methanol in a bubble column reactor was processed. The effects of temperature, CH3OH concentration, nitric acid concentration and gas velocity on NO conversion and MN yield were investigated. The results showed that the NO conversion and MN yield reached 79.1% and 71.9%, respectively, under the conditions of normal pressure, reaction temperature 40 ℃, nitric acid mass fraction 10%, CH3OH mass fraction 85%, gas velocity 100 mL/min and NO volume fraction 20%.
