Abstract:Metallocene catalytic system is an ideal catalyst for 1-decene polymerization because of their extra high activity and single active center. Polymerization of 1-decene catalyzed by rac-Et(1-Ind)2ZrCl2/MAO for preparing poly-alpha-olefin base oil was studied, and the reaction mechanism of catalytic system was proposed. Effects of catalyst concentration, molar ratio of Al to Zr, reaction temperature and reaction time on polymer properties were investigated. The results showed that the conversion rate of 1-decene was 91.62% under the conditions of molar ratio of Zr to 1-decene 8×10-5, molar ratio of Al to Zr 100, reaction temperature 50 ℃ and reaction time 60 min. The obtained polymer had excellent properties: kinematic viscosity at 100 ℃ was 393.93 mm2/s, viscosity index was 271, the number average molecular weight was 9 091, and molecular weight distribution was 1.691 3.
