Abstract:The effects of reaction temperature, pressure, steam to ethylbenzene ratio, and space velocity on the performance of GS-11 catalyst for the process of ethylbenzene to styrene dehydrogenation reaction were studied. The results from the accelerated aging tests indicate that, the deactivation rate of GS-11 catalyst is smaller than that of the reference catalyst, and the stability of GS-11 catalyst at low steam/oil ratio can be enhanced by raising the reaction temperature. The catalytic activity lost at ultra-low steam/oil ratio could be restored by high-temperature and lower-loading re-generation, or steam only purging.
