Abstract:Under the control of pH value and without the crosslinking agent, the hydrolysis-condensation reactions of siloxane groups in 3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) could anchore the oligomeric radical at the interface of latex and water to prepare the organic-inorganic hybrid nanocapsules. The effects of pH value, MPS amount and monomer fraction in the oil phase on the morphologies of nanocapsules were discussed. The anchorage function of radicals was increased with the increase of siloxane groups hydrolysis-condensation reactions that was favor of nanocapsules formation. The anchorage function of radicals was validated by adding the crosslinking agent in the miniemulsion polymerization system.
