Abstract:For industrialization of alkylation of benzene and methanol its kinetics was studied in this paper. Effect of reaction temperature, space velocity and ratio to feedstock on alkylation reaction of benzene and methanol were investigated in a packed reactor. Research results showed that alkylation reaction of benzene and methanol is quickly reaction. The suitable reaction temperature was 460 ℃, space velocity was between 3 and 8, ratio to feedstock was 1:1, conversion of benzene reached 46.72%, selectivity of toluent and oxylene attained to 90.79% under above reaction conditions. Kinetic research showed that reaction order of alkylation reaction about benzene and methanol is one order to benzene and zero order to methanol, reaction activity energy is 163.88 kJ/mol.
