Abstract:Jet penetration length on the inclined distributor was study using a video camera in a two dimensional fluidized bed. Jet profiles found in this study can be classified into two types: type I jet and type II jet. All the jets were type I jet on 60 ° distributor. Type II jet was observed on 45 ° distributor. The type of jet might change when the experimental condition was varied. Jet profile was affected by angle of distributor, orifice velocity, and property of particle and position of the orifice. Jet penetration length on 0 ° distributor was longer than that on 45 ° distributor and 60 ° distributor. The effect of bed height on jet penetration length could be ignored. A correlation is derived for jet penetration length of single orifice on inclined distributor based on the former correlation for inclined jet penetration length.
