Abstract:To explore the reaction kinetics of synthesizing acrylonitrile through propylene ammoxidation, a kinetic model of propylene ammoxidation reaction to acrylonitrile was be constructed in this study based on the measured industrial data, which was obtained under the operation conditions including temperature of 425 ℃, pressure of 156 kPa, feed gas rate of 0.743 m/s, feed composition C3H6:NH3:O2:N2 of 0.086:0.104 3:0.17:0.639 7, that is ammonia to olefin ratio of 1.213:1 and oxygen to olefin ratio of 1.977:1. Furthermore, a fluidized bed model was established using CHEMKIN chemical kinetic simulation software to obtain the kinetic equation and parameters of the strong oxidation exothermic propylene ammonia oxidation reaction similar to combustion. Also, the comparison between simulation results and industrial data were discussed in terms of the influence of the operating conditions on the reaction kinetic parameters and the effect of deep oxidation on the propylene ammoxidation reaction, and the results showed that the two were comparable. The results from this study provide theoretical guidance for the large-scale engineering and reactor design of propylene ammonia oxidation reaction.
