RhNi/SBA-15 catalysts with different metal ratios were prepared by loading RhNi nanoparticles onto SBA-15 (mesoporous silica) by impregnation reduction method. The structure and catalytic performance of hydrous hydrazine for hydrogen production were further investigated. The results showed that RhNi bimetallic nanoparticles formed in RhNi/SBA-15 catalyst, and the synergistic effect between Rh and Ni could effectively improve the catalytic activity. Rh9Ni1/SBA-15 catalyst for the catalytic decomposition of hydrazine hydrate exhibited optimum catalytic activity, transformation frequency reached 2 569.6 h-1 under the conditions of temperature 323 K, NaOH concentration 0.15 mol/L. The Rh9Ni1/SBA-15 catalyst has high catalytic activity was maintained after five cycles.
