Abstract:As a class of highly promising luminescent nanocomposite materials, luminescent nanoclusters based on gold-silver alloy have been widely studied in the field of nanomedicine due to their precise and controllable nanostructure, unique luminescent properties, good biocompatibility and chiral function. In recent years, they have also attracted widespread attention from researchers in materials and chemistry. In this minireview, the synthesis method, structural construction and luminescent properties of gold nanocluster, silver nanocluster and gold-silver alloy nanocluster are reviewed in detail. The application progress of gold-silver bimetallic luminescent nanoclusters in biomedicine, such as biological imaging, molecular recognition and sensing, antibacterial activity is also summarized. What’s more, the future perspectives and challenge of gold-silver alloy nanocluster are also discussed.
