Abstract:Adsorbent precursors were prepared by homogeneous precipitation method, aluminum nitrate was introduced into the process, Al-doped zinc oxide adsorbent was obtained by calcination. The effects of aluminum nitrate addition, pH value, feeding speed, solution concentration and residual sodium in the precursor on properties of the prepared adsorbent were investigated. The physicochemical properties of adsorbent were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and low-temperature N2 adsorption, and the desulfurization reaction performance of adsorbent was investigated. The results showed that the addition of aluminum additives changed the crystalline state of the precursor, the precursor changed from basic zinc carbonate to hydrotalcite like structure, the grain size of zinc oxide after calcination was smaller, the specific surface area and pore volume of the adsorbent increased, the sulfur capacity of the adsorbent increased, and the utilization rate of active components was significantly improved. The residual sodium content in the precursor has a significant effect on the performance of the adsorbent.
