Abstract:Oligomerization of light olefins is an effective way to produce high quality oil and fine chemical raw materials. It is difficult to realize catalytic dimerization of isoamylene with high selectivity. In this work, Beta, ZSM-5, MOR and ITQ-1 zeolites were selected and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption, ammonia temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD), and the catalytic performances in the dimerization of isoamylene were investigated. The results showed that the pore structure of zeolites played an important role in the catalytic dimerization of isoamylene besides the acid sites. In comparison, ITQ-1 showed the best catalytic performance in the dimerization of isoamylene. Its lamellar surface had abundant half-cages, which was conducive to the adsorption of isoamylene and the diffusion of products, and its weak acid site prevented the overreaction of dimers. Under suitable reaction conditions, 73.6% conversion of isoamylene and 93.4% selectivity with 68.7% yield of dimers over ITQ-1 were obtained.
