Abstract:Paraffin isomerization process is a main technological method to update gasoline quality. The paraffin isomerization in a fixed bed reactor for a refinery was taken as the research object. The isomerized feedstock was divided into 10 lumps and the reaction network was established with kinetic parameters estimated based on production data. Commercial software HYSYS was employed to build a RPlug reactor model to explore the relationships between key operation conditions and properties of products by sensitivity analysis, which could provide theoretical guidance for operations. And optimization scheme of the isomerization reactor was worked out, that is to raise reactor temperature to 130.4 ℃ and mix product with catalytic reforming product in proportion when the feedstock pass through the isomerization unit for one time, or to take methylpentane back to reactor in order to increase isomerized gasoline octane number.
