Abstract:Developing a regeneration technology that not only can regenerate coked catalyst for methanol/dimethylether to olefins (DMTO) but also can enrich CO2 in tail gas of regenerator is of great significance. Regeneration kinetics of coked DMTO catalyst from industrial fluidized bed reactor was studied in O2/CO2 by thermogravimetric analyzer. Both isothermal and non-isothermal methods were carried out, and the results showed that the coke combustion rate was the first order reaction of coke content in catalyst. And there was little difference between the activation energy obtained by isothermal and non-isothermal method. In isothermal method, the activation energy was about 70 kJ/mol, and about 80 kJ/mol in non-isothermal method. The obtained kinetics is important for the design and operation optimization of the regenerator under O2/CO2 atmosphere.
