Abstract:The highly dispersed Ni2P /NY catalyst was prepared by low temperature reduction method using nano-sized Y zeolite (35nm or so) as support synthesized by template-free method, and the Ni2P /Y catalyst supported by ordinary Y zeolite was prepared. The zeolites and catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The effects and performances of different catalysts on the HDS reaction of 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene (4,6-DMDBT) were investigated in a fixed-bed reactor. The results showed that the conversion of Ni2P/NY catalyst for the HDS reaction of 4,6-DMDBT reached 96.0% under the reaction conditions of temperature 340 ℃, reaction pressure 3.0 MPa, which was higher than that of commercial CoMoS/Al2O3 catalyst (77.2%) and Ni2P/Y catalyst (67.0%). The high activity of the catalyst was attributed to the high dispersion of Ni2P on nano Y zeolite and the exposure of high active centers.
