Abstract:A new type of porous materials was prepared by microwave drying, carbonization and activation processes, in which straw was used as raw material. The preparation process of the porous materials was optimized by response surface method. The structure and properties of the products were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), N2 adsorption-desorption (BET), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses. The results showed that the optimal preparation conditions for the porous materials were as follows: the activation temperature 707.40 ℃, the mass ratio of carbonated samples to KOH 1:3 and the time of activation reaction 17.20 min. The materials with more porous and high specific surface areas can be obtained under these conditions. The pore size and the specific surface area were 5.6-13 nm and 1463.15m2/g, respectively.
