Abstract With the support of the double carbon background and the strengthening of people's environmental awareness, the development of green environmental protection recyclable cable material has become a key research direction. Among them, polypropylene (PP) has attracted much attention as a kind of insulation material with excellent electrical and thermal properties, recycling and sustainable development. In order to promote the research and development of environmentally friendly polypropylene cable materials, this paper systematically summarizes the latest research results of environmentally friendly polypropylene cable materials, and introduces the common polypropylene modification methods. Finally, from the practical point of view about production and application, this paper summarizes and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various modification methods, and provides guidance for the development and application of environmentally friendly polypropylene cable materials.
