Abstract NH2-MIL-125(Ti) samples were synthesized with malic acid as an additive，which were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet visible spectrophotometry (UV-vis) and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). The photocatalytic performance of the samples was evaluated by photocatalytic degradation reaction of Rhodamine B (RhB). The results showed that a small amount of malic acid addition made the NH2-MIL-125(Ti) crystals thinner and smaller, while a large amount of malic acid addition made the NH2-MIL-125(Ti) crystals larger, possesses more mesopores, improved electron hole separation efficiency and interfacial charged transport efficiency, which promoted the photodegradation performance of the samples. As a result, the photocatalytic activity was improved and the removal of RhB reached 83% in 120 min.
