Abstract Metal modified zeolites are important catalysts widely used in olefin aromatization, the advances in metal modified zeolites for light olefin aromatization were reviewed. Introducing the catalytic mechanisms of different catalysts for olefin aromatization, and discussing the development direction of olefin aromatization catalysts. It was essential to develop catalysts with better aromatics selectivity and longer lifetime by designing and adjusting the microstructure and the methods for introducing metal of catalysts, this would be the main research direction of olefin aromatization catalysts in the future, meanwhile, developing the preparation method of catalysts into industrial production is very important.
