Abstract In order to obtain the hierarchical SAPO-34 molecular sieve with excellent diffusion properties, the SAPO-34 molecular sieve was successfully prepared by introducing modified carbon nanotubes into the precursor of molecular sieve with the combination of soft and hard templates. It was found that a large number of interconnected mesopores were contained in the grains by means of scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope and N2 physisorption. The catalytic activity of mesoporous SAPO-34 zeolite was investigated for methanol to olefins reaction. The results showed it has higher catalytic activity and better stability compared with the conventional SAPO-34 zeolite with similar morphology and size,in despite of the conversion rate of methanol or the olefin yields.
