Kinetics of Synthesis of 1,6-Hexanediol Diacrylate over SO42-/TiO2-SnO2-ZnO Solid Acid

Abstract  The esterification of acrylic acid and 1,6-hexanediolcatalyzed bythesolid acid SO42-/TiO2-SnO2-ZnOwas studied and the effects of the catalyst dosage, stirring speed, particle size were investigated. The corresponding intrinsic kinetic parameters were obtained and a kinetic model of the above pseudo- homogeneous esterification was established under the conditions of eliminating internal and external diffusion effects. It was found that the kinetic model predictions were in good agreement with the experimental results.
